Individual Counseling
Empowering Personal Growth
If you’re on this page, chances are you are struggling with one of the areas listed above, and I’m glad you’re here looking for a way to move forward so life can be better. It is a challenging first step – but you’ve made it!
When looking for a counselor or therapist, it may be because you want to improve an area of your life, or a relationship with friends, co-workers, colleagues, your spouse, or even children. Maybe you’re considering how a career change would improve life. Or moving into a new neighborhood or house. Maybe you’re exhausted with always being on edge, or you’ve noticed how things you used to enjoy don’t seem to interest you anymore.
Regardless of your reasons, you know something needs to change – life has to get better, and it’s time to talk with someone who can help.
Sometimes the right decision or change doesn’t seem so clear, though. Sometimes you may wonder if a crystal ball would give you better answers than those you can come up with on your own, or those that friends and family.
The idea that there are right and wrong answers is a myth. What is right for others likely is not right for you. And vice versa.
So how do you know if your on the right path or headed in the right direction? How do you know if you’re ready to make a change? Where do you even start? Learning to embrace change, embracing uncomfortable situations, knowing you don’t have to have all the answers gives you the confidence and security to forge ahead into the unknown.
Your path is distinct, and your goals are unique—every session is crafted to meet your individual needs.
We do this through exploring your things that are holding you back, such as fears, irrational thought processes, assumptions, and negative experiences from your past (that are likely constantly on repeat), and help you move forward.
Your path is unique to you. Your goals are unique to your path. This is why I tailor each session to clients’ unique needs.
Understanding Emotions
Once we understand and have the language for our feelings and emotions, we can explores what feelings are being experienced and work on changing them. However, feelings have purposes; we are not designed to be happy all of the time. So understanding the function of our feelings helps us to adapt to situations and live more balanced.
